Letter Z

An instrument of Fate; fatalistic; marked by Destiny; sensual; fame and money issues.

The Twenty Sixth Letter of the Alphabet.  Energy Frequency no. 26. (my own musing and discovery) The embodied power of limitless possibilities: the functioning Energy of Spirit as Man – the actively Realized, physically Transformed, multidimensional Being….latent within us all.  How this relates to “Z” the 26th Letter has now been discussed in full under Letter-Number Table 8.

A note on “Fate”: – most regard fate as something fixed and pre-determined; there’s nothing we can do about it – it’s our lot in life and we must accept it!  The power of “Z” aligns with this popular view and seems to bear it out. Indeed when doors of opportunity suddenly open and close before our eyes, it always seems totally out of the blue and uncontrollable – and so we call it “fate.”

That’s just the outer polarity: - the inside view changes everything: nothing happens by chance, and on some deep subconscious, magnetic level we actually orchestrate everything in our lives – we are our own creators. The transformation level of “Z compels us to recognize that.

Some “Z’s” perceive the need for change – and make themselves the implement!

Mexican revolutionary Emiliano Zapata (1877-1919) led a revolt for agrarian reform – and at the turn of the 20th Century inspired modern day Mexican Zapatistas who also struggled for the same reasons; whereas Fang Lizhi (“Z”  central Focus-Challenge letter), China’s well known dissident intellectual (given asylum in the U.S.) could only act by urging other governments to apply pressure to China.

The “Z” energy brings events to a “head” and incidents of opportunity occur throughout the life.  On the surface, these appear to be random happenstance and almost out of one’s control – yet something inexorably moves us into them – and from those moments, the life changes forever!  Sometimes it’s just a matter of being in the right place at the right time – or the wrong place!

From a crowd-lined street in Dallas, Texas, Nov.22nd,1963,  Abraham Zapruder filmed the fateful shooting of President Kennedy and with 15 seconds of movie, captured the crime of the century.  That morning he had felt “compelled” to take his camera to film the motorcade, and as though some force in the universe demanded a record, fate placed him in the exact place at the precise time to present visual evidence of a possible second assassin – and linking his video forever in history with the last few living breaths of President Kennedy!

It may just be one fateful decision, one spur of the moment event that implodes the life; or it may begin like a nagging compulsion sitting in the consciousness for months or years – until you actually DO something! In one such case, a man (with “Z” in his last name), felt driven (he’d reached the fateful age of 40), to make a drastic change.  After months of dithering, then planning, he finally went back to college – but in a foreign land.  He took his somewhat unwilling family with him.  Their lives were never the same again….partly because the discontented wife (under the “Z” name), found herself inwardly compelled to leave the marriage, but unable, until a sudden event gave her the courage to do so!

You could describe the “Z” energy as a “door”- for some, only one fateful door opens in their entire lifetime.  Yet for others, many doors appear seemingly miraculously and with the closing of one, another will open immediately – apparently from nowhere!  It depends on where the “Z” positions itself in the name – at the beginning and also in the exact middle of the name being the most potent.

The “S” – sensuality connection! As far as pronunciation goes – You could also say “Zzzzzzzzz” sounds like an “S” with sound added (certainly the “hissss” is there) – bringing with it the “S” energy of success, money, public prestige – as well as sex and sensuality.  “Z” however,  usually takes the sensuality out of the closet making it concrete and open with an intensification of sexual desires…..or when polarized – even more suppressed and desperately hidden!

19th Century’s brilliant, flamboyant, mystical pianist-composer from Hungary – Franz Liszt  (two “Z’s”), not only lauded for his compositions and pianoforte virtuosity (which sent men and women into ecstasy) was also criticized for being part saint, part passionate sensualist and well known for his prolific Don Juan appetites!

Then long before the TV era, opportunist and impresario Florenz Ziegfield (again with two “Z’s”) opened new doors in entertainment and for the first time on the US continent, brought extravagant musicals filled with briefly-costumed, glamorous show girls – the sensational Ziegfield Follies.  Ziegfield also was a famous womanizer and addicted to the high life with a compulsive passion for gambling – he more than ‘tempted fate’ – and on a daily basis!!

Balanced “Z”: the ability to flow with the changes; seeing the power of life as the power to change; moving into new experiences quickly and without regrets; lusty and fearless; enjoying the adventure of being fully alive; aligning with nature, perceiving the oneness in all beings without judgment; initiating positive changes for themselves and others.  Is “Z” saying: “It’s time to change – to take the next step in human physical and spiritual evolution!”

Question: are those nations whose peoples possess frequent “Z’s” in their names, more lusty, more fatalistic in temperament and more aligned with the natural flow of life??

Unbalanced “Z”: violently polarized personality extremes – can be schizophrenic and manic depressive; have fatalistic resignation, accepting doom, gloom, corruption and decay as a matter of course – with feelings of being pulled into a downward spiral that can’t be stopped or changed; with persistent hopelessness and brooding, always at the mercy of circumstances.

The dark to despairing sexual, sado-masochistic side of “Z” was expressed in the purely nightmarish, pain wracked music and lyrics of “shock rocker” Trent Reznor, lead singer, composer and creator of Nine Inch Nails.

Weak “Z’s”: Full of impossible schemes that never amount to anything – seeing “the carrot” but never quite able to grasp it; a life of missed opportunities; beginning one-hundred-and-one great projects, but lacking the gumption, persistence and hard work to bring any of them to fruition; a go-stop-go-stop, stop mentality.  Never taking responsibility (for long) for anything; blaming ‘fate’ for dealing them a bad rap!!

When “Z” is in YOUR NAME: it’s how you flow with opportunity and change; whether you feel helpless in the grip of Fate, or the orchestrator of your own joyous destiny.

SUMMARY: Destiny’s Child; resisting or implementing change; playing the ‘game of fate’ creatively – or destructively.  Opening to sensual delight, or fearing it.
