Unique, charismatic, grandiose; a natural leader, self-contained or offensively self-important; must be in charge to do it their way – or has “Y” in name to develop “Y” qualities.
Twenty Fifth Letter of the Alphabet. Energy Frequency No. 25. (my own insights and experience) The ‘First Light’ of the sun; an intense blue-white light that “jump-starts” the brain for the day. So far scientists have not been able to replicate it. (The 1000′s year old “Sun Salutation” Yoga tradition is on the mark!) Also: my strange personal ‘Light Phenomena’……refer to Letter “Y” under Letter-Number Table 7. on the Header-Menu Bar.
Practical visionaries – relentless, persistent, accepting no boundaries or limitations and often known for outspoken candor, “Y’s” exude a passionate commitment. In their strength, they emerge with a “Grand Vision” and swiftly proceed to organize and complete it; in their weakness, they’re dominating and reluctant to delegate authority demanding everything be done their way.
Without a doubt, their ideas and methods often are the best, but they do not work happily under direction – especially if “Y” begins or is exactly in the middle of their name (the Focus).
Bosses will get the best out of their “Y” workers if they give them lots of slack – or put them in charge of special projects.
Unless evolved, “Y’s” should learn to give the appearance of co-operation – or at least to consider a different point of view in the face of opposition, particularly if they want to make friends instead of enemies! They’re known for embracing causes and spending large amounts of time trying to convert others to their beliefs. Confrontational tactics and stand-offs mar many a passionate “Y.” “Making people angry to make them think” was said by “homeless” activist Mitch Snyder.
Those who lead by personal example, may bark orders like a taskmaster but still earn devotion and respect.
The Inspired “Y’s”
In 73 A.D. revered Eleazer Ben-Yair led a party of Zealots (including women and children) to hold out against the Roman Empire in the mountain fortress of Masada, in the end choosing mass suicide rather than surrender.
In 1963 archaeologist (and General) Yigael Yadin discovered the legendary Masada site in Israel; he then directed and inspired a large party of excavators for two difficult years at this barren, inhospitable site.
These strong “Y’s” exude charisma and with their powerful organizing abilities (plus often considerable talents) collect hordes of adoring followers to assist them with their projects.
A modern example: there’s Yanni (born Yanni Chryssomallis) of Greece: brilliant, unique creator of inspiring music for the masses; a musical prodigy with perfect pitch and his own method of notation (cannot read or write music) who only hires the best musicians in the world to perform with him and engages thousands (even governments) to help prepare his lavish productions. His first on the “grand scale” was staged in Greece’s famed Acropolis, the second after extensive planning involving millions of dollars, occurred at India’s Taj Mahal and the third in that series – at China’s Forbidden City in Beijing. One of the most innovative and evocative artists, Yanni inspires dedication from his musicians – they practice from 7-8 hours at a time to attain the level of perfection he demands. Yanni’s own words entreat tolerance and brotherly love and his music uplifts the listener regardless of nationality.
The letter “Y’s” formal sound (how it’s said when you recite the alphabet) -”Wi-ee” seems to ask the question “Why?”
The lives of some “Y” bearers are characterized by questions – asked and answered for everyone…even if the answers bring despair and resignation.
Eleventh Century Persian poet and mathematician Omah Khayyam (although instrumental in reforming the Islamic calendar) shines brightly down the ages for his exquisite “Rubaiyat” – verses extolling the joys of wine and women, the insecurity of faith and the surety of death and decay.
Balanced “Y’s”: know they have a special quest or questions to be answered; they feel it their duty to find and share their discoveries for the benefit others. Jacques-Yves Cousteau made his questing ground the oceans, pioneering undersea exploration and research through his co-discovery of the Aqua-lung; he then became our conscience for polluting the earth’s life-blood. They radiate a “presence” with a sense of tremendous force behind every word and action. Selfish grasping does not exist for them and personal needs blended into whatever seems appropriate for the moment. They know exactly what they want and move with assurance to align with a Greater Universe through their own precise, visionary Shaft of Light.
Unbalanced “Y”: difficulty in co-operating with others, often deliberately disruptive in order to keep control of a situation; a fear of failure and a compulsion to win (only enjoy playing games so long as they are winning); selfish, willful, insensitive; a contrary uniqueness alienates them from others; they don’t care what they say or do–it’s the only way they know to be themselves. Controversial and startling interactive artist James Lee Byers was quoted as saying, “As soon as I open my mouth, I find myself in a state of alienation.”
When “Y” is in YOUR NAME: you stand accountable for the burning questions in your life – have you pursued them, and have you benefited others as well as your self?

It was a real excitement discovering your site last night. I arrived here right now hoping to get interesting things. I was not disappointed. Your ideas for new techniques on this thing were useful and a wonderful help to myself. Thank you for creating time to create these things as well as for sharing your ideas.
