The Eighteenth Letter of the Alphabet. Matrix Frequency No. 18. (including matrix suggestions and my own musings) The intuitive power of the body to adjust, realign and correct itself through spontaneous or formal movement, such as – Yoga, Tai Chi, Martial Arts; perceiving and experiencing all movement as the Sacred Dance of Life.
How this relates to “R” the 18th letter, is now discussed fully under Letter-Number Table 9. Take a look!
Letters “R” and “A” have the reputation for being the angriest letters of the alphabet! Let’s say Astrologically: letter “A” is physical Aries power and letter “R” is mental Aries power. So it can be a matter of lessons in anger-management, or the converse: suppressing anger under the guise of pacifism.
When I think of “R,” I mentally see Rodin’s famous sculpture “The Thinker,” chin in hand – lost in thought. It was my late husband’s habitual sitting stance (his first name began with “R”). Their thinking never stops, there’s always internal dialogue going on; if it’s not “self talk,” they’re rehearsing for impending conversations. Most “R’s” have a strong introverted side that keeps them deep in their own mental landscape.
Although President Ronald Reagan was known as “The Great Communicator” and famous for loquacity (two Lead-Letter “R’s” and “E” in Reagan), “R’s” mostly need silence, even solitude, to mull over their thoughts. The more articulate tend to be the friendliest, but the verbally aggressive love to silence others!
Some aggravating “R’s” don’t like to make decisions about anything – from the little things like choosing an ice-cream flavor, deciding on a restaurant – to the big demanding life-issues. They will beg you for advice – which they instantly ignore! Finally, it hit me – they only need to hear the advice, then what they really want to do - lands in their mind!! For your sanity – resist the temptation to advise an indecisive “R,” instead, walk away and force them to make up their minds on their own!!
Now consider a few interesting “R” people: (some with multiple or doubled “R’s” – four people have both “R” doubled as well as it being the center Focus letter):
Gerry Spence, famous defense lawyer and powerful speaker (aided by three “E’s”!).
Garry Kasparov (three “R’s”), considered the world’s strongest chess player; 13th champion of the world; retired after 30 years of professional chess in 2005.
Don Rickles, well known stand-up comic, famous for sarcastic humor.
Larry Flint, outspoken publisher of Hustler magazine.
Salman Rushdie, novelist, under an Islamic death-threat for blasphemy.
Larry King, skillful TV interviewer and (now retired) talk show host.
When letters “R” and “H” combine in a name it can result in a life of aggressive financial success or public fame; the “R” and “O” combination tends to manipulate (or heal) through emotions; ”R” and “E” in a name may create a thinker-writer, or the articulate investigator.
Balanced “R:” the marriage of verbal skills and concepts; exceptional reasoning power plus innovative ideas; able to expand, augment and honor existing ideas; not easily aroused to anger – takes responsibility to process anger without blame (as in balanced “A”); respects the opinions of others; self-complete and contented; a natural need to look for deeper meaning in everything; able to leave the outer intellect and expand into higher Mind; shares wisdom and insight with others.
Unbalanced “R:” instant rage; the mental control-freak; revengeful against “slights” (real or imagined); opinionated, disdainful, superior, critical, controlling, domineering and mentally overbearing; fixed, bigoted and irrational; not open to any viewpoint other than their own. Operating through mental aggression; masters of insult, demeaning put-downs and unassailable arguments (if it appears they might lose, they begin to shout and scream). There’s an “Army” joke that fits them to perfection: An assistant is briefing a new member of the staff in the General’s office – “The General is always right–even when he’s wrong…remember that!”
Vulnerable “R’s” will identify their ideas and possessions with their ego (this stems from a hidden, insurmountable, insecurity); therefore, disagreeing (even mildly) with one of their opinions or even criticizing one of their possessions will immediately threaten their personal facade of reality – causing irrationality in the face of hard facts! I have witnessed such an “R” person tear a book in half and throw it away, rather than face documented data that would contradict (and illuminate) their closed opinions! They frequently hear only what they want to hear, making it difficult if you happen to have said something other than what they can remember – you are then accused of lying – witnesses notwithstanding! When “R” is linked with “O,” they’re possessive, emotionally demanding and smothering – and painful to have as family members or close companions.
Weak “R:” Some weak “R’s” suffer from verbal insufficiency, struggling and fumbling to find the right word, taking instant offense (where none was intended) and on getting riled, lash out with verbal abuse – or they sulk, simmer and brood. A very fragile ego (same for unbalanced), their sense of well being topples with the slightest criticism; they’ve the tendency to live in their own internal reality. Above all, they’re terrified of change - resisting or reacting to even the smallest; many of them must learn at their own rate – and if pushed or pressured to try new procedures – they blank down their minds. Others harbor a profound fear of failure and never bother to even try when challenged with the new and interesting, or something out of their safe routine. Favorite phrase: “I can’t” (meaning) “I won’t.”
When “R” is in YOUR NAME: it’s how you handle your mental power and how you interact with the mental power of others.
