Bringer of peace, tranquility, balance and harmony – or the perpetrator of disharmony, disunity, strife and war.
The 16th Letter of the Alphabet. Energy Frequency No. 16: (including matrix suggestions and my own musings) The lungs, the breath, (the Life-Force as breath), personified by whale-energy including their serenity and calmness. And also, when applicable – dolphin energy for fun, games, playfulness, joy and delight! Note: Dolphin energy particularly rersonates with some aspects of Letter “G”.
(How this relates to “P” the 16th Letter – 1+6=7…..and “G” the 7th Letter – will be discussed under “Letter-Number Table 7.” on the Header Menu Bar – yet to be written.)
Letter “P:” – synonymous with Peace; very aesthetic, usually demands quality, beauty and harmony in surroundings; restores itself in aloneness and solitude; tends to avoid situations and people disturbing to their predetermined mind set; often attracts disharmony as a ‘teaching mirror.’ Astrologically, “P” resonates with Libra.
The Lesson: instead of withdrawing they need to open to new insights and emotional experiences. With that thought in mind – as mentioned before, in reference to name-meanings, some letters can sound like other letters. Firstly, “P can sound exactly like “B” bringing a balance (for the more withdrawing aspects of “P”) – with “B’s” enjoyment of the 5 senses (taste, touch, sight, hearing, smell). Secondly, there are “P’s” beginning names combined with letter “H” and then they sound like “F’s”………….Example: Phineas, Phillip, Phyllis – to mention a few. Here the “F” sound is the Lead ‘letter’ and the “H” is silent and implied, but together they bring the energies of pride in one’s achievements coupled with ambition, goals, success and even public life.
The “P” energy also dips into the unreal worlds of alternate realities – like computer-animator, special effects legend, two time Oscar winner Phil Tippett (three “P’s”), ..to mention a few of his projects: “Dragon Slayer,” “Return of the Jedi,” Empire Strikes Back,” Jurassic Park.” his work is the stuff that dreams are made of. (He designed the marvelous dragon in the 1996 film “Dragon Heart.”)
You’ll find other “P’s” drawn to occupations that harmonize, blend and synthesize and the obvious ones are music, art and choreography – the more intriguing are medical, industrial and food chemistry!
Some Examples:
Earl Tupper, (two “P’s”) a Dupont Chemist who invented “Tupperware” (in the 40′s), the versatile kitchen containers with their unique vacuum sealing system.
Louis Pasteur, (of great benefit to mankind) 19th Century French microbiologist and chemist; founder of modern microbiology; developed several vaccines and the process of pasteurization. Some “P’s” with supersensory taste and smell may become tea and wine blenders, creative chefs and skilled perfumers.
Edward V. Appleton, British physicist (two “P’s”); looked for underlying meaning and harmony in the world around us; his research into the upper atmosphere revealed what is now called the “Appleton” layer in the ionosphere.
Max Planck, German physicist (1858-1947); developed theories to explain the nature of light; during his studies of heat and energy, he discovered what would later be called quanta. This in turn has shaped the face of modern quantum physics. Today, his Institute continues in research for the benefit of the public – in natural and social science, the arts and the humanities.
The obvious polarity of peace and harmony brings us to war and violence, so you’ll find specific “P’s” attracted to professional soldiering, some with a primary desire to keep the peace and others who want to make war. Famous war strategists: Napoleon Bonaparte (two “P’s”) and General George S. Patton.
Of special Interest: O. J. Simpson, famous ex-running back star of American football went to trial in 1995 (and was acquitted) for the wrongful death charge in the murder of his ex-wife and her companion. A glance at his last name reveals a central “P” as the Focus/challenge letter – it would appear his life choices have not been in the direction of peace, balance and harmony!!
Other “P’s” deliberately – or inadvertently challenge the status quo….and definitely ‘disturb the peace.’
Rosa Parks of Alabama; during segregation in 1955 was too tired to give up her bus seat to a white man; her subsequent arrested triggered the great civil rights movement of the South.
Elvis Presley, rock-and-roll legend; his sensuous hips and sultry voice drove the girls crazy – and their parents up the wall; at the time regarded by many as a threat to morality.
Pablo Picasso, (1881-1973) Spanish born cubist painter and sculptor; revolutionary, pioneer modern artist, famous for dissolving solid form into dissected, two dimensional segments.
Note: “P” also concerns itself with consolation, relief from pain, solace for the soul – thus the words, “placebo,” “pampered” and “panacea.” When totally reversed, “P” brings pandemonium and panic.
Balanced “P:” peace-loving; peace-inducing; introspective, private, self-contained, with often solitary pursuits – generally creative; they realize what makes them happy and comfortable and absolutely refuse to remain in stressful or destructive relationships or situations; generally diplomatic and charming, naturally taking the role of mediator. Unruffled in any crisis, they have a total sense of who they are. To quote my unfluffable neighbor Pat, “I always carry my own space with me.”
Unbalanced “P:” self-punishing; some are known to endure – to stoically remain in stressful and painful situations even to the point of illness and death (like an old friend with two “P’s” in her name – Penelope). And while the innocuous ones disturb the peace, create their diversions, and love practical jokes, the mean ones remain contentious, cranky, needling and nasty, ruffling feathers and delighting in causing disharmony and havoc while getting high on other people’s discomfiture.
The dark side of “P” is cruelty and punishment – even to the self!.
Weak “P’s” become emotionally immobilized and can’t (or won’t) deal with people and the simple mechanics of living. They blame and constantly judge the disharmony of others while ignoring their own disharmony. Another form of unbalanced “P” sells-out for “peace at any price” – as did Marshall Philippe Petain (four “P’s” including one doubled), who took control of France in World War II after capitulating to the invading Germans.
When “P” is in YOUR NAME: - it’s how you bring peace or create havoc in your own life and in the lives of those around you.

Famous “P” Names: challenges with peace or strife; bringer of peace – or destroyer of peace; one who is naturally centered and peaceful, or one who disturbs the peace – or the usually accepted status quo.

Special “P” Note: Stephen King: prolific and popular writer of horror-fiction has “P” as Focus/Challenge in his first name; Even though his “P” is ‘silent,’ this master of the macabre brings terror instead of peace and becomes enormously well paid and famous for it (letters “S” and “H”)!!
