Letter A

Identity, ego, willpower, independence, self-mastery, self-empowerment, freedom, adventure, The physical body, strength, energy….or the misuse and abuse of personal power.

The First Letter of the Alphabet.  Energy Frequency No. 1.(including matrix suggestions and my own musings) TheLife-Force of the human body, the physical heart, Chi energy, the Sun, the Fire aspect of Holy Spirit. (How this relates to “A” the 1st Letter will be discussed under the “Letter-Number Table 1.” on the Header Menu Bar – yet to be added.)

“A’s” outstanding quality might best be expressed as “presence”…..the presence of Spirit as physical power and freedom.

The more “A’s” in a name, the greater the sense of power and “presence.” I once met an awesome, totally impressive man from the island of Samoa who had a total of eight “A’s” in his name!!  Polynesian languages showcase the vowels.

When in their power, “A’s” live fully and fearlessly, expressing a strong need for personal freedom. Under privation, their life-force drive brings great courage, excellent survival skills and a knack for taking charge in group situations.  Yes, they’re natural born leaders and expect as much of themselves as anyone else. Their self discipline can be daunting, especially when mastering physical skills to gain goals. Ambition does come into it – so don’t try and get in their way – you’ll come off second best and find them quite uncompromising in the pursuit of those goals.

Of course the converse is also true: there are flaky, gutless and weak willed ones!  Every letter has its polar opposite. In these sorry cases, the presence of “A” in a name acts like a cattle-prod, to painfully challenge flagging courage and jump-start self-love. Severe personal weakness can be overcome – if the person wants to summon up the will and determination.

“A’s” most uncomfortable quality is ANGER! Usually misinterpreted, anger shows a part of personal power that needs acceptance and understanding (especially in children).  As a rule, once the “A’s” have blown their top, their ire dissipates quickly and seems forgotten – except for the traumatized few in the direct line of fire – they tend to remember!! “For God’s sake, try not to make them angry!!” Many flare-up’s in the adult “A” stem from childhood memories of forbidden emotions and happen during extreme frustration; other hidden triggers are fear of powerlessness and the sudden loss of control over events and people.

In balanced “A’s” no one is in the line of fire. They are singularly unblaming and take responsibility for their reactions; any bursts of anger, though intense, rarely get directed at anyone in particular…they are simply anger reactions being released!  Observers of these balanced “A” outbursts (trembling in their boots on the sidelines and astonished that they are not being attacked) marvel at the pure and simple release of raw anger from someone with the skill to free it with such integrity. So much for “A’s” and anger!!

Additionally, “A” means resolving to ‘take charge’ of the physical body and maintain its health and strength.  After all, we only have the one container and there’s a saying “What you don’t use – you lose!”  Some “A’s” attract physical challenges anyway – as part of their lessons in self-mastery.

Two or more “A’s” in your name: mean you work with self-control, understanding power –  and will-power in particular.

Balanced “A:” one who respects and is not threatened by the power of others; power in action, a natural leader, self-possessed, confident, daring, passionately excited with life and armed with a purposeful strength of will – a strength that motivates and empowers all who know them!

Unbalanced “A:” problems with personal power; egos frozen in the need to feel important; destructive and unpleasant; can be egomaniacs operating from overweening strength and temper.

Weak “A:” suppressing anger; wearing the mask of detachment, but leaving unresolved rage seething inside; unable to handle confrontation; hate playing the game of “sweetness-and-light.”  All their held-back energy builds internally causing sporadic blasts of anger – followed by even more determined efforts to push the feelings back down.  Frequently, the inner rage goes to the gums and erupts through abscessed teeth!  They either possess too much or too little power and tend to fluctuate between the extremes, being weak one moment and overpowering the next – a part of them frantically craves attention, recognition, reassurance and praise.  Weak “A’s” when children, were never given a sense of self worth, so they frequently attract the opposite – humiliation and shame!  When they express too much power, others find them (at best), overwhelming, or at worst – awesome, imperious or intimidating.

In either extreme, unbalanced “A’s” secretly fear power!

When “A” is in YOUR NAME: it’s how you use or misuse your personal power, neglect or honor your physical form – and how you exert your power over others and the environment.
